Landcare Legend

Adam Woods

“I believe we need to better manage human interactions with the environment and need to look for sustainable alternatives when it comes to consumption.”

As a regional manager for Conservation Volunteers Australia I have been growing my knowledge and experience in environmental conservation and community engagement.

I am a committee member of Landcare Illawarra and one of the founding members of Beach Cleanups Illawarra, and through my work I get to write environmental programs for community engagement.

I believe we need to better manage human interactions with the environment and need to look for sustainable alternatives when it comes to consumption. My biggest focus is the loss of natural biodiversity due to human impacts and helping people to become better engaged and contribute to the recovery of our natural environment.

One of my aims is to build environmental programs across the Illawarra that produce high-impact, long-lasting outcomes.
